Данная память имеет минимально необходимую на сегодня частоту 2666 МГц, поддерживаемую всеми современными материнками, это можно также назвать минимальным и достаточным для большинства пользователей. От частоты оперативки мало зависит производительность в играх, прирост будет заметен больше в многопоточных задачах типа рендеринга видео. Кроме того, для поддержки памяти с более высокой частотой требуется поддержка со стороны материнской платы, а стоят такие материнки дороже. Стоит также учитывать, что процессоры Intel получают не большой прирост от памяти с более высокой частотой, а вот для Ryzen лучше подбирать память побыстрее, так как на них прирост будет более заметным.

Латентность (CL) является основным показателем в таймингах памяти, которые характеризуют задержки в работе памяти, соответственно чем ниже этот параметр, тем лучше. Для памяти DDR4 латентность колеблется в диапазоне от 14 до 19 CL и по данному показателю этот комплект является худшим. Однако, латентность оказывает еще меньшее влияние на производительность чем частота, поэтому этот параметр имеет второстепенное значение. Но если совсем не на много дороже можно приобрести память с более низкой латентностью, то это будет предпочтительным. Плюс стоит учитывать, что при разгоне латентность увеличивается, так что для этой цели лучше брать планки с латентностью поменьше.

Напряжение питания 1.2 В является стандартным для памяти DDR4, при абсолютно безопасном уровне 1.35 В. Это значит, что вы сможете произвести безопасный разгон такой памяти с поднятием напряжения. Но учтите, что разгон памяти должен поддерживаться вашей материнкой. Что касается уровня разгона, то хорошим показателем будет разгон с 2666 до 3000 МГц, очень хорошим до 3200 МГц или выше. Стоит также сказать об отсутствии радиаторов на этих планках. По сути память DDR4 греется очень слабо, особенно при такой низкой по сегодняшним меркам частоте. Поэтому радиаторы ей особо не нужны и носят больше декоративный характер. Даже при разгоне до 3200 МГц с поднятием напряжения до 1.35 В память не будет сильно греться и ничего страшного не случится (разумеется при нормальной вентиляции в корпусе). В данном случае это больше вопрос эстетики, если вы собираете ПК в закрытом от глаз корпусе, то вид планок особого значения не имеет. Но если вы планируете поставить корпус с прозрачным окном на видном месте и хотите, чтобы это красиво смотрелось, то лучше взять планки с радиаторами.

Что касается высоты планок, то здесь он самый стандартный (32 мм) и данные планки хорошо совместимы с различными процессорными кулерами и материнками. Планки с радиаторами высотой до 35 мм можно считать низкими, 35-40 мм средними, а 45-50 мм высокими. Высоту планок стоит учитывать в зависимости от близости слотов памяти к сокету процессора, можно ли поставить планки в дальние слоты для работы двухканального режима (смотрите инструкцию к материнке) и на сколько ваш кулер совместим с высокими планками (смотрите обзоры кулеров).

В общем данная память подойдет не требовательным пользователям, желающим получить хорошее качество за минимальные деньги. Также ее вполне можно рекомендовать экономным энтузиастам для умеренного разгона. The memory kit comprises of 2 DIMMs that operate in dual channel mode. Since we were running a Z270 platform, the memory was operating in dual channel mode. The memory is clocked at 3000 MHz and will run at 2600 MHz be default when XMP profile is not enabled since that is the JEDEC standard clock speed . Clock timing is set at 16 and the capacity is 16 GB for this specific kit.

Conclusion:

Texon-Ware has launched TEAMGROUP T-Force in the local market. It is always a welcome note for the healthy competition. We were sent for T Force RGB Ram Review. We have employed the kit on our newly established test bench featuring the Intel i7 10700k and MSI MAG Z490 TOMAHAWK. The NIGHTHAWK series is available in multiple variants depending upon the LED, density, frequency, and timing.

We have NIGHTHAWK RGB, NIGHTHAWK Legend, NIGHTHAWK DDR4 with the last one having static single color LED lighting. The legend is available in the Golden color and the RGB variant is available in the Black and White colors. The kit we have got is NIGHTHAWK DDR4 RGB 2x8GB @ 3200MHz using CL16-18-18-38 timing.

Out kit is using Hynix C-Die on the standard package of monolithic 78-ball FBGA. Die Density is 8 Gb C-Die (18 nm) with the composition of 1024M x8 (64MB x8 x16 banks). The kit has a futuristic Hawkeyes outlook with battle totem design which when combined with RGB illumination gives one heck of a cool yet bold look. The white and orange color accents on the black color heat spreader really add to the look and compliment the overall layout and design.

The hawk eyes more seem to me like a Batman logo but that is my personal opinion. The heat spreader is die-cast from aluminum material using the extrusion process and computed aided CNC machining work to produce the impeccable product.

The quality of the kit is evident! The dimension of a module is 147x53x9mm (LxHxW). The 53mm height will have compatibility consideration for the CPU air coolers as you would not want to hide the beauty of these kits under the bulky coolers. Similarly, the 9mm width will have compatibility consideration for the water blocks of the AIO coolers with their tubes facing the DIMM slots. Using a 2 modules configuration would eliminate the last consideration.

The kit has a black color PCB with ICs on both sides indicating that standard PCB is being used for all capacities. Our kit is a single-sided one. It has 4 Hynix chips each of 1GB on the left side of the PCB and the same 4 chips on the right side. As is the case with the DDR4s, there is no chip in the center of the PCB. There is a single thin thermal pad running on the entire length of the heat spreader on the populated and non-populated side.

There is a translucent diffuser on the top of the PCB which runs across the entire length of the PCB. The mid-section on the top is recessed which is a design element for the overall layout and it covers the diffuser in the middle. On the exterior ends, the diffuser has a sharp angular design which is covered by the heat spreader.

There is more RGB exposure on the sides than is on the top. We have 10 RGB LEDs under the translucent diffuser to give a nice blend of vivid lighting with the hawk eye design to reflect upon the emblem which is a stunning execution of the idea. Speaking of RGB illumination T-Force RGB kit is compatible with a wide range of RGB solutions from various manufacturers including ASUS, MSI, GIGABYTE, and ASRock. There is no dedicated app to control the lighting as the motherboard’s lighting app can be used for this purpose reducing the need for using multiple lighting control apps which is what the majority of the users would appreciate.

So far I have talked about the design and looks but what about the performance. I was able to push the NIGHTHAWK RGB DDR4 to 4000MHz frequency at CL18 using 1.40V for the DRAM. The VCCIO and VCCSA needed tinkering as well to achieve this overclocking with a significant performance boost. The kit is listed at Rs.17,800/- at the time of the review. This is a bit premium tag in this speed range of the memory modules. The kit comes with a limited lifetime warranty from TEAMGROUP. The Texon-Ware is offering 2 years of local warranty on these kits.

TheTeamgroup T-Force Nighthawk 16 GB DDR4 memory kit rocks decent specs for its price. The kit we received is optimized at a clock speed of 3000 MHz (PC4-24000). The memory kit has a tested latency spec of CL16 and the timings are 16-18-18-38-2N for this specific kit. Voltage set at reference is 1.35V and the memory kit comes in an unbuffered package with non-ECC (Error Correction) design. The memory kit is fully compliant with Intel’s XMP 2.0 and can be easily set to its rated clock speeds through the BIOS shipped on the latest Intel motherboards.

Memory compatibility differs from motherboard to motherboard so make sure that your board is high-end and rated to support high clock speed memory sticks.

Teamgroup offers a limited lifetime warranty with their T-Force Nighthawk series memory kits. These are some of the most heaviest memory sticks that I have held in my hand and the heatsink is made of pure aluminum which means much better cooling potential. The PCB itself is made of 10 layers and using high quality memory chips, we can expect some decent overclocking potential too.

Это делает данную память привлекательной для тех, кто не хочет заморачиваться с разгоном и получить максимум производительности за небольшую стоимость. Teamgroup T-Force Nighthawk 16 GB DDR4 Memory Kit Unboxing and Close Up

The T-Force Nighthawk series comes in a nicely designed box shaped package. It has red and black accents all over. The front of the box has the name and specifications sticker along with a picture of the DDR4 stick with the main focus over its LED «Breathing Light» effect. The DIMM has also been rewarded a design award and it really looks stunning as we will see later on.

The back of the box lists down a brief overview of the T-Force brand along with detailed features of the T-Force Night Hawk series memory. The product label and contact details for Teamgroup are also provided. It’s mentioned that the kit comes with a lifetime warranty which is another plus for users building new DDR4 setups.

Opening the box, I am met with a large plastic container which firmly holds the two DIMM sticks. I also noted that these are some pretty heavy DIMMs when compared to the ones we have used earlier. This could be due to many things which we will tell in a bit.

Removing the plastic cover, I put my sights upon some of the most impressive designed DDR4 memory to date. The design looks a bit aggressive but it’s done so nicely, that if I had to rate these, they would get a 10/10 in the sexiness department.

There’s also a «User Installation Manual» inside the plastic casing. Although installing memory isn’t a big deal but it’s still nice that companies like Teamgroup focus towards educating the general consumers of how to install PC hardware properly, even if they aren’t doing it for the first time.

The matte black coating for the shroud and an acrylic window for the LEDs looks great. The T-Force and Team Group logos are etched in the middle and on the sides in white. The whole stick looks like the wings of a hawk and I guess that’s where the name «Night Hawk» comes from.

Now for the weight, yes these are very heavy memory sticks and I am surprised by the reason. Not only are the DIMMs using top of the line ICs on a high-end PCB, the shroud is all aluminum based. This increases the overall cooling capacity on the specific modules and also prevent the memory from external forces such as pressure, air and dust. The LED Lights are embedded on the upper section of the memory and look absolutely great when lit up.

I have separated the performance tests into two sections. The first section consists of pure synthetic and general workload tests while the second section would be focusing on gaming performance and how different games are affected by higher clocked memory sticks.

Gaming Performance Tests

Gaming applications generally don’t see huge gains with different memory kits but DDR4 has enabled a huge gain in memory frequency which can impact gaming performance. Moving from the stock 2600 MHz to 3200 MHz is a big clock jump so we are eager to see what kind of general and gaming performance differences we get to see with that increase.

Furthermore, while 8 GB has become the standard for gaming PCs, modern applications such as editing software and multi-tasking users can benefit hugely from 16 GB and 32 GB kits which have become more common in the gaming market over the last couple of years.

Conclusion

This review took me way long to complete but I am glad that I am writing my final words about my experience with Teamgroup’s latest memory kit for consumers. The T-Force Nighthawk memory is impressive in looks but moreover, it’s relatively lower priced when compared to other brands. Just priced at $119.99 US (lower in other markets), the T-Force Nighthawk Dark series is a cheaper high end DDR4 kit option. So that’s a really good start as this kit is compatible with both Intel and AMD based systems.

The other plus point for this memory kit is its superb design. It comes with a unique design set that I haven’t seen on any other memory kit and it looks very well made. The color scheme is a well match for several desktop systems and the whole built is very solid. The heatsink that covers the PCB is solid aluminum based which means you can stop worrying about high temperatures while the shroud on the top isn’t a whole lot tall, allowing you to select from a range of air coolers.

Then comes the lighting system. The LED Lights on the T-Force Nighthawk aren’t a complete disco show as the G.Skill Trident Z RGB series, which although looks fantastic does comes as at a high price, but Nighthawk comes with a modest, one color (RED) lighting system that features a simple breathing effect. It looks great and you don’t have to tinker into complicated settings associated with RGB setups. If you are into RGB, then you should know that Teamgroup also offers the Night Hawk in RGB flavors for a slightly higher price point.

The PCB is made up of high quality ICs and the DRAM used on the Nighthawk can squeeze in some extra clocks. Timings side, it begins to show its sensitive side as you can’t configure them much but at 3000 MHz, this kit handles all gaming and general workloads with ample speed. The duo channel design is very optimized for Intel Z270 and AMD Ryzen motherboards which is a great thing for the general consumer.

For the ending note, I would say that Teamgroup’s T-Force Nighthawk Dark is a splendid piece of work by the memory manufacturer. T-Force Nighthawk supports a unique and beautiful design, features impressive performance results and in terms of pricing, has value written all over it. This memory kit makes you spend less while looking top-notch and performing great.
